Working alongside the Supply Chain and the Production Team, the Demand Planner is a highly-visible and collaborative position maintaining all operational forecasts, master data in our MRP, and driving communication and accountability with the day to day production team. You will oversee the development, maintenance, and analysis of the finished goods forecast, and lead the Sales and Operations Planning process (S&OP), as well as contributing to special projects and other supply chain and business strategy initiatives. This role will have one direct report, a Production Planner & Scheduler who will handle day-to-day planning and scheduling. You will support this Production Scheduler as need with releasing work order adjustments and root cause analysis within our MRP.  You are a master of data and planning and love to comb over the fine details of a forecast vs actuals.

Responsibilities (include the following but not limited to)


  • Manage the SKU level forecast on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in relation to production needs
  • Forecast against sales events, specific milestones, channels and validate the forecast accuracy within our MRP
  • Maintain master production data in MRP
  • Build, distribute, and track production plans & scheduling across each department
  • Ensure work orders are closed out per planning schedule
  • Adjust planning schedule and plans as required based on demand fluctuations or supply challenges
  • Lead daily collaboration with operations team members to ensure alignment on final production plan
  • Support inventory team to manage inventory turnover and overall healthy inventory levels
  • Manage a full central kitchen capacity model with granular level data on utilization x capacity across our kitchen and menus
  • Design and distribute daily and weekly dashboards to the operations leadership team to review key operational metrics and assorted challenges and opportunities
  • Create contingency plans to avoid supply or production interruption across the system
  • Tackle each day with a detail-oriented mindset 
  • Other projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications 


  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demand Planning (3+ years)
  • ERP Advanced user (ideally Netsuite or Microsoft Dynamics (3+ years)
  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, currently proficient or willingness to learn Excel Marcos
  • Hands-on experience in Supply Chain, Operations or a related field with Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization
  • Fully self-sufficient; self-starter with an appropriate mix of confidence and experience to know what to do next without being directed. 
  • S&OP Planning Experience (2+ years) and a deep understanding of the S&OP Process
  • In-depth understanding of the end-to-end supply chain.
  • The ability to pull and analyze the right data to inform business decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible, adaptable work environment. 
  • Obsession with problem solving, root cause analysis making things work better.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills; intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem solving capacity.
  • Data-Driven, disciplined, objective and detail-oriented.
  • Consistent, exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong diplomacy and collaboration skills.
  • Process-oriented with a sense of urgency and drive to manage projects to completion.
